The Three versions of the Images of the Divine Mercy

There are three version of the Image of the Divine Mercy, the first one was under the direction of Saint Faustina but she was disapointed becuase the artist was not able to get the exact details Sister Faustina is refering too. But Jesus appeared to her and said: "NOT BY THE BEAUTY OF THE PAINT OR OF THE BRUSH IS IMPORTANT , BUT THE GRACE I BESTOW ON THE IMAGE."

A second version was then painted by Hyla who study so well the discription of St. Faustina on how Our Lord Jesus look like when He appeared to Her. When the painting is done one sees the authenticity of the image. after the solemn blessing of the second version its now placed a top the remains of Saint Faustina. which hangs up to this day.

In 1982 another version was painted in U.S. and this is the image which has the flowing of the blood and water in a spread like manner.

I wrote to the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy where Sister Faustina served as a nun and asked how the Lord really appeared to St. Faustina, there reply: Jesus appeared to her with blood and water flowing downward.

From Left to right: the 1982 version, the second version, the first version.
